We keep it simple
We keep it simple, we do not overwhelm the kids with large equipment, bright lights or loud noises. We blend into their environment to make sure we capture them -authentically.

Creative play, creative frames. Its all in the way we interact with your child. We move with them in their space so that they have and feel comfortable to be themselves. Pete coming from a fashion advertising background is always looking for different angles, frames and cool mini moments to snap!

Keep it fun
Keeping it fun is vital! But also understand that each child is different and their version of fun might be different to someone else’s! So yes we keep it fun but also are versatile. Being parents completely understand how important it is to adapt to the Childs energy and/or different needs in a positive fun ( and calm ) way!

Hi, we’re Pete and Leigh — the founders of KC Minis, and now KC Kindy. KC Kindy brings together our love of photography, creativity, and little people.
Our journey into children’s photography began when we had our (now 10-year-old) son, Venice. Pete is a fashion and advertising photographer, and I (Leigh) come from a background in styling and all things creative.
When we had our babies, we wanted photos of them just as they were — natural, expressive, completely themselves. But we found that surprisingly hard to come by. So we picked up the camera and created our own.
Real, honest images. The kind you look back on and feel something. Photos that capture your children as they truly are — not a forced version of them, but their beautiful, expressive, perfectly imperfect selves.
From there, we’ve been lucky enough to shoot many children’s campaigns, but our heart has always been in family photography. We want to give families images they actually want on their walls — full of personality, connection and life.
KC Kindy felt like a natural evolution for us. As our three babies — Venice, Kippie and Oakie — have grown, we’ve experienced the daycare system firsthand. And again, we noticed the gap. We wanted daycare photos with expression. Photos where we could see our children enjoying themselves, interacting, laughing, beaming in their little school world.
So KC Kindy was born. And we have loved every second.
